Chris Woodroofe - Managing Director at Manchester Airport
Appointed as Managing Director of Manchester Airport in 2022, Chris previously served as Chief Operating Officer at London Gatwick Airport, leading significant people, process and systems change initiatives. He has overseen a period of strong and sustained growth at Manchester Airport, the UK's third-largest airport, and has overseen its continued post-pandemic recovery, operational performance and future-focused growth plans. He is also responsible for delivering the £1.3bn transformation of Terminal 2, one of the region’s largest private infrastructure investments.
Chris took on the role of Chair of Manchester Central where he will work closely with the venue’s leadership team, helping to shape its future direction, with a strong emphasis on long-term, sustainable success that aligns with and supports Manchester’s wider strategic ambitions.
